Our fair trade organic coconut oil contains over 59% lauric acid, provides moisture and makes skin supple. With a pleasant scent, virgin coconut oil is a precious, virgin, cold-pressed and cholesterol-free vegetable fat with a very high proportion of essential free middle-chain fatty acids (e.g. lauric, capric and myristin acid). It is produced gently by hand by local people from fresh, mature coconuts. Its valuable plant secondary metabolites (tocotrienols) and natural vitamins are thus primarily retained. Thanks to natural preservative constituents this fat, which becomes liquid at over 23°, does not become rancid even if kept uncooled. Our coconut oil comes from a fair trade organic project in the Philippines. Areas funded by the profits include free medical care, help for street urchins in Manila and school projects.
