The sweet almond oil is obtained from the mature seeds of the nut by cold pressing. It is yellow and has no smell or taste. The proportion of unsaturated free fatty acids is high. These include linoleic acid, which has a powerful effect on the skin, influencing hornification processes. It makes the skin more resistant to infections and protects it from UV rays. The palmitic acid present in almond oil enables it to penetrate well into the skin, making it soft and smooth. The stearic acid backs this up with its film-forming effect. The high level of vitamin E produces a beautiful, smooth skin texture. Our organic almond seeds come from Spain and are always freshly cold-pressed as they are needed.
